What Are The Effects Of Swallowing A Piece Of Plastic Film?
Question: I accidentally swallowed a very small piece of plastic film...like an idiot, I ripped the plastic wrapper off a package with my teeth and inadvertantly swallowed the film. I feel like the film is still there, but it is not blocking my breathing or my eating. My throat is becoming irritated, though, and I am beginning to have a productive (but clear) cough. What to do?
Brief Answer:
nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to HCM forum.
This need not be worried much.
If you think it is still there in your throat, kindly see your doctor for removal under direct vision.
Otherwise, if it is already passed down, you need not worry. It will be expelled along with stool with in 24 hours without any trouble.
Hope this will answer your query.
Thank you.
