What Are The Expected Tests In An Autonomic Neuropathy Clinic?
Can anyone tell me what to expect tomorrow with my first appt with an Autonomic Neuropathy Clinic?
With all the specialist I've seen over the years, it's hard to believe that there are still a few types of specialist, I've never seen.
Complete medical and necessary tests.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your point.
The clinic you mentioned work focuses on evaluation of the autonomic neuropathy, its confirmation or exclusion as a diagnosis.
As always, first you will be asked to answer questions about your symptoms, your health status, habits, medications, medical examination etc.
Tests also will be performed probably and these include: Breathing tests, ultrasound, urodynamic tests, sudomotor reflex test, gastric tests, etc.
All these tests are performed to achieve a correct diagnosis of your condition.
Okay, it is clear that you have seen a lot of specialists, but, I think, these were separated evaluations, a complete evaluation of your current health issues is necessary.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Let the know if I can assist you further.
Greetings.
Will they start doing those test tomorrow or just start scheduling them?.....I know they were hoping my Dr. would a QSART test and it be done before I got there or this appt. He felt it wasn't his place to order it because he is a Cardiologist, not a Neurologist
When I mentioned it surprises me that there are specialist I haven't seen yet. I was including all the different rare disorders and diseases I have that started over 18 years ago. It seems if there's a 4% or less chance of having something, I have it
Thank you
Tests will need time.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back.
I don't think all the needed tests could be concluded within one working day.
QSART is one of tests, but other tests mentioned before are necessary to conclude.
I believe in the end of the evaluation you will have a correct answer to your questions.
I remain at your disposal for further questions and clarifications.
Take care.
