What Are The Initial Signs Of Pregnancy?
Question: Hello! I ovulated on the 6 and 7 of this month (CD 14 and 15) confirmed by ovulation kits. I got a day and a half period which was medium the first day and light the half day. I am due for my period today with no bleeding or cramping, but a HPT was negative. Is there a possibility that I am still pregnant?
Brief Answer:
wait for a week more.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
The bleeding which you had on 6th or 7th for 2 days was likely to be your ovulation bleed. Now that after 14 days when your menses are due as of today, HPT will not give a conclusive negative test anyways simply because the HPT is not sensitive until 8 days post missed period.
So ideally you should be waiting for a week more to allow your menses to resume, and if they don't then you may get the HPT done which if negative then pregnancy would be ruled out.

Okay thanks for clearing that. Bleeding on 18th and 19th after 12 days post ovulation is not an implantation bleed for sure but your menses which may be scantier this time.
However, if you suspect pregnancy and to rule out this being an implantation bleed, you should rather get a serum beta hcg test done which if negative would be conclusive for you being pregnancy safe and the bleeding on 18/19th being your scanty menses this cycle.
