Brief Answer:
This combiantion usually should be avoided.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Ativan is a brand name for Lorazepam which is a drug used for treating anxiety. It is in the benzodiazepine family of drugs.

Lexapro (escitalopram) is an antidepressant belonging to a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
It is used to treat anxiety in adults and to treat major depressive disorder in adults and adolescents.

Using Lorazepam together with escitalopram may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment.

These two drugs have a moderate interaction what means that usually this combination is avoided and it can be used it only under special circumstances.

So if you can take these two medications together only if your treating doctor has prescribed this way and this case you should be monitored by your doctor.

Hope my answer has helped.
