Brief Answer:
Following advice.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
First of all it's important to mantain your BP under control (below 130/85 mmHg) and as long as Benicar is effective in doing that you should continue with it.
Secondly the longtime use of Benicar has a positive and protective effect on your heart.
At the end Benicar use has no hazardous side effects and you shouldn't worry about the prolonged use of it.
Moreover you should continue with a healthy lifestyle and diet.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Dr what do uou think about taking a daily 80 mg aspirin for heart health. Seems likethere are different opinions on taking aspirin
Brief Answer:
Following advice.
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Sorry for being late.
First of all the protective effect of aspirin should be balanced with its side effects (especially gastrointestinal bleedings).
Since your father died from heart attack (familiar history for heart attack), you are overweight and hypertensive, you should take a daily dose of baby aspirin (80 mg).
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
