The entire bone marrow of the patient is removed and bone marrow from healthy individual is infused.
The donor bone is obtained from blood relations preferably. The donor is screened for HLA typhing.
Six parameters are matched in HLA typing and atleast four should match.
Bone transplant is done at many government and corporate sector hospitals like XXXXXXX New XXXXXXX CMC Vellore, corporate hospitals like Apollo, Fortis, Wochart, XXXXXXX etc.
