Brief Answer:
leukemogenisis

Detailed Answer:
Dear,
Thanks for your query.
dnmt 3a gene is a gene mutation which is found in alerady established leukimias of acute origin particularly AML. It may also be found in other hematological disorders like MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome), Myelofibrosis. Even Polycythemias may also have this gene mutation. The disease has to be diagnosed first and then determined about its presence. As per studies presence of this gene causing DNA methylation does not bear a good prognosis. it does not help in knowing the progression or regression of the disease. however the underlying disease is needed to be treated by conventional methods.
