What Are The Precautions To Be Taken For Heat Rash?

Question: My boyfriend just changed jobs. He had a desk job and is now working as a welder. His shop gets over 100 degrees. There have been two days now (within about 3 weeks) that shortly after he gets home he gets a rash over his entire body that is extremely itchy. Itchy to the point of him being almost delirious. My first inclination is that it's a heat rash but I find it weird that its not happening while he is at work but after he starts to cool down at home. Nobody he works with has had such a severe reaction. It tends to be especially bad on his feet and legs. He does have to wear steel toed boots.

I can’t send a photo because I didn’t take one last night when it happened and the rash clears up after a few hours. The majority of his body (chest, torso, back) just looks very red and splotchy but no bumps that I could. His legs and feet are very red but also have small bumps.

Brief Answer:
Reaction to heat

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma’am, hello again.. As per your description, this is probably a reaction to heat.. To prevent this from recurring, he should keep himself adequately hydrated while at work by drink at least a cup of water every hour.. He should also wear pure cotton clothes and underwear’s while at work to reduce the sensitivity of his skin.. He should avoid using scented soap or shower gels and replace them by glycerine soap.. If this rash happens again then he should take an antihistaminic as Benadryl once daily and apply hydrocortisone cream on the rash area.. I hope you find this helpful
Thanks.
