Brief Answer:
You can have sex before monitoring, no restrictions at all.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,

There are no precautions per se which should be adopted before follicular monitoring as it is just to analyze the growth of follicles and have nothing to do or in any ways get affected by sex. So you may be sexually active , no hassles at all.
in a case of PCOS , likely that you may have been given clomifene tabs for 5 days and then follicular monitoring has been planned to see the growth.
FOLLICULAR MONITORING i ideally done on day 7, 11, 14,and 18.
Some prefer to reduce the frequency so its fine.
Stay relaxed and stress free as this would help in ovulation further in this controlled ovulation induction cycle.
Regards
