Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back to HCM. Thanks for writing to us.

Adderal is indicated for ADD and Narcolespy. However many people use it for recreational purpose – often as a study aid or performance booster. Adderall abuse can lead to more serious side effects.

Short term use of use of adderall can cause feelings of energy and strengths, similar to the high often experienced after exercise.
Users frequently report improvements in focus and concentration. It has also been reportedly used by athletes to improve sports performance. Adderall can also create feelings of euphoria, which has led to it becoming popular as a recreational drug. Once this initial effect has worn off, Adderall users can feel tired, depressed and irritable.Adderall causes problems like tolerances, dependency and addiction can occur when the drug is not taken as directed.

The side effects of Adderall vary widely, depending on the individual.
Person who does not have ADD can suffer from common side effects like nervousness, restlessness, difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, uncontrollable shaking of a part of the body, headache, changes in sex drive or ability, dry mouth, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss.
Other serious physical and behavioral-psychological side effects include fast or pounding heartbeat, shortness of breath, chest pain, excessive tiredness, slow or difficult speech, dizziness or faintness, weakness or numbness of an arm or leg, seizures, motor tics or verbal tics, believing things that are not true, feeling unusually suspicious of others, hallucinating (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist), mania (frenzied or abnormally excited mood), aggressive or hostile behaviour, changes in vision or blurred vision, fever, blistering or peeling skin, rash, hives, itching, swelling of the eyes, face, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing or swallowing. Person without ADD has more chances to develop such side effects.

In conclusion when person takes adderall without prescription or in excess of that prescribed chances of side effects and later on withdrawal symptoms increase. This is abuse and person should take medical help for deaddiction.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
