What Are The Repercussions Of Accidentally Taking Telmisartan Instead Of Carvedilol?
Question: I generally take carvedilol but accidentally took telmisartan this morning. What should I do?
Brief Answer:
Nothing, Just keep watch over bp and PR
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You just need to keep eye over bp and pulse rate. If your and pulse is fine through out then nothing should be done and resumes your routine schedule from tomorrow. I am not asking to take carvedilol as it may low bp along with telmisartan.
Slightly pulse rate may go up, but if excessive and symptomatic, and bp is in higher range then can have half dose carvedilol if not taking sustained release or even full if bp allows. Or otherwise just let me know all your parameters like bp, pulse rate, dose of telmisartan you took and carvedilol dose you take.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
