Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome back on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that you may safely continue to take your anti-hypertensive therapy as prescribed and don't worry about one day mistakenly overdose, as its effects are completely dissipate within 24 hours.

So, the risk of an over-exaggerated hypotensive effect is actually in existent.

You are advised to be careful with your chronic anti-hypertensive therapy and periodically check your blood pressure values in order to assure that your daily actual drugs dose doesn't need any modification.

Nevertheless, everything should be done under your prescribing doctor supervision, after reviewing the measured blood pressure values for a couple of days (up to a week).

Hope to have been helpful to you!

In case of any further uncertainties, feel free to ask me again.

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
