Brief Answer:
Only Needs monitoring for any complication

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.

Based on the history you have shared, the drug you have mentioned is primarily to lower down cholesterol so doesn't have serious complications of overdose immediately like in case of drugs like those used for heart rythm or for BP alterations or which are involved in vitals functions alterations but still every drug is a chemical which acts somewhere in the body and thus do have side effects or complications tendency in cases of overdose.

Since he is asymptomatic so hopefully every thing is fine but still for two to three days he needs careful monitoring for urinary output or development of jaundice. It can have rare side effects on liver and kidney functions and thus needs monitoring.

Ideally he can have a renal and liver functions after a day and I would suggest to make him urinate In a container and monitor his daily output and color of urine, and if turns reddish or darkish then that would need evaluation of kidney functions. Give him more water and fluids so that kidney functions remain good as well drug gets cleared from the system instead of concentrating it inside. Muscle pains or bodyaches or increased weaping spells should alert you to seek a medical care facility follow up.

Always keep medicines away from the reach of children as in case of other potentially dangerous drugs such overdoses may lead to immediate complications.

Wishing everything to be fine. Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
