What Are The Risks Of Developing Warts And Genital Herpes Post A Vasectomy?

Question: Hello again,
I did a foolish thing and had brief unprotected sex with a new partner last night. I've had a vasectomy in November (although without yet confirming it worked) and she has an IUD so pregnancy shouldn't be an issue. She also had a completely clean STD panel just a week ago without seeing anyone since. The risks that leaves as far as I can tell are warts and genital herpes. She says she's never had an outbreak of either and I didn't see anything suspicious. Could you help me access the risks and to what extent I should worry?
Thanks so much!

Brief Answer:
The risk is minor
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
You don't need to be concerned since chances of transmission are ve y small. hsv can be 100% ruled out only by specific tests but I don't think it is necessary in this case since there is no suspicion. warts are mostly contagious during breakouts although there is some risk in nonoutbreaks, but this is small so even is she has HSV it still doesn't me and you are infected. Wish you good health. Regards

Thank you, Dr. Sounds like I don't have much to worry about unless there actually was a visible outbreak of either std. If there are any details I'm not thinking of please do let me know.
Brief Answer:
no need to worry
Detailed Answer:
You just need to watch for some new signs such as penis discharge, rash or fever. If this doesnt occur in next 7-10 days then STD can be ruled out.
