Question : I have had a cortisone shot inMarch for hip bursitis. Then in July I had a kenalog shot for my sacroiliac joint. Now the dr wants me to have a nother cortisone shot with xray. I am concerned about side effects with another cortisone shot. My dr said that it is a myth there are no sideceffects with the shot. I did have a red face with the first shot

Yes there are lots of side effects of steroid shot.
Reactions. ,swelling. ,osteoporosis. ,infection. ,etc.
You need to talk with you doctor again and discuss.
You may get benefit from epidural injection which you can take from specialist doctor.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and Tens may give you relief.
