Brief Answer:
The effects usually relate to the drug half-life.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

You seem to be having withdrawal symptoms of the medication since you stopped the drug suddenly. Please do not worry, since you can expect relief soon as the drug is removed from the system as it has a short half-life. Most often, the symptoms are observed for three days.

If relief is not attained, other drugs like fluoxetine may be substituted to bring down the withdrawal effect. This drug (Venlafaxine) should be withdrawn gradually and not abruptly.

The symptoms you are experiencing may also suggest adverse effects of the medication.

Since premenstrual syndrome is better dealt with by simpler medications, I do not think you should use this medication again in view of the side effects you are facing.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.

Tree days? ... I am down since 10 days now? Do i still wait a couple of days or should i take an appointment with my dr. ? If i wait, is there a problem if i take anti-nauseant and/or acetaminophen until i feel better?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Please see your specialist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

If you have been suffering for the past ten days, then, it's time you should seek further help from your physician. Meanwhile, you can have simple symptomatic treatment for relief. You can use anti-emetic, lactobacillus and analgesics to help ease the situation.

Hope your query has been clarified. Please contact if you need any more information. I will be ready to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
