What Are The Side Effects Of Famvir?
Gum infection, thrombocytopenia, scaling, gum astringent
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the bleeding from the gums is concerned, i have two possibilities.
It can be because of the gum infection secondary to deposits over the teeth.
The other possible cause can be because of the thrombocytopenic(reduced platelet count). Regarding famivir, it rarely causes bleeding from gums, it is usually eliminated from the body within 48hours. Bleeding gums is not related to famivir. I really do not understand, why you are taking famivir from so many years. Please do consult a general physician and get it evaluated.
Regarding the bleeding gums, you can consult a oral physician and get your teeth cleaned(scaling). You need to use topical gum astringents like tannic acid after getting your teeth cleaned. Do saline gargling 3-4times daily.
These are the possible causes and treatment plan as per the description of your problem. If possible upload the images of your teeth and gums, so that i can give exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
