What Are The Side Effects Of Hydrocortisone Replacements?
Question: i have lost the glands that produce aldrenaldin and using areocordison ,what sould i look for side efects thank you
Brief Answer:
Hydrocortisone replacement
Detailed Answer:
Good day,
Noted your concern. I presume you are taking Hydrocortisone replacement. What dose are you on now? In normal replacement dose ( 15 to 20 mg per day) it is absolutely safe.
It is a steroid, hence in excess doses, can cause osteoporosis, high sugars, cataract etc. But in normal replacement dose, this is unlikely. It is recommended to take sufficient calcium and vitamin D along with it.
