I would like to know what dosage of the medication you are taking right now.

If endometriosis or pelvic infection has been ruled out as the cause of the pain you have associated with cycles, other unrelated pelvic causes should be sought for. Urinary and gastrointestinal evaluation also should be done.

So far as the literature and studies go, Novex-DS has not been shown to cause any pelvic pain, but precaution should be executed when there is impaired metabolism of the liver or kidney. It cannot be used when there is polycystic ovarian disease. I presume these have been excluded by your consultant.

Cheri, on the other hand, can cause some amount of gastric distress, as it contains Iron. You may have to stop this medication for a while or switch to another preparation if symptoms persist.

Right now, I would ask you to report the matter to your consultant for further appraisal as it cannot be deduced empirically that the new medication has caused the pain. You may also need anti-spasmodics for relief.
