Brief Answer:
it may not be side effects / it may be due to depression

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

First of all if her health was good with riscon forte and wakelert tablet then I am not sure why the doctor changed it? Perhaps it may be possible that she have some symptoms of depression or anxiety and that may be the reason for adding sertraline.

If you have tiredness and weakness following sertraline then stop it for a week. If such symptoms disappear then it is due to sertraline; but if symptoms persist it is due to different etiology like depression or anxiety.

Sertraline may cause tiredness and weakness secondary to sedation. But again, sometimes such weakness and tiredness may be the symptoms of underlying depression.

Also in serta plus there is combination of sertraline and benzodiazepine. This benzodiazepine may add to the symptoms.

I would suggest her to stop serta for week after discussing with her doctor. If symptoms disappear then start again with simple sertraline or continue the same medicine which you are taking in past .

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
yes it must be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

you need to continue riscon forte tablet every night as it is necessary for your illness.
and also continue waklert tablet in morning.
if you have any problem with this combination ask your doctor to start sertraline alone which may help you rather using combination.
If you discontinue it then might be chances of worsening of symptoms which you had in past.

Discuss with your treating doctor and then do accordingly.

Thank you
