I can understand your concern. Sztalo Plus consists of Escitalopram and Clonazepam. Escitalopram is a SSRI drug and the drug is an antidepressant and anti-anxiety drug. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine drug and the drug is commonly used for sleep and for relief of anxiety. Over all the combination is used in a number of neurotic conditions like anxiety, depression etc. The drug is advised to be taken regularly to see its full effects. Irregular treatment doesnt cause much benefit. Now coming to your questions-

1) Over all the drug combination is safe. Escitalopram is known to cause slight restlessness and insomnia in some individuals but concomitant use of Clonazepam reduces such symptoms. The drug can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness etc as side effects. In high doses the drug may cause loss of libido, poor erection, delayed ejaculation etc side effects. But use of 10 mg doses daily even for long is safe. Clonazepam component is also safe but this has high abuse potential and it may cause dependence. I would advise you to take the drug as per your prescription regularly so that your symptoms would decrease.

2) There are not much extra symptoms if you use this drug irregularly but irregular use might reduce the effectiveness of treatment and this may result in persisting and recurrent symptoms. So the drug should be taken on regular basis only.

3) The doses should be tapered over 6-10 week and this prevents any risk of withdrawal. Doses should be reduced by 20-25% every two weeks and tapering the doses in this manner usually prevent any symptoms.

4) In most cases withdrawal symptoms usually reduce to significant degree in about 4 weeks. So no need to worry.
