You can take tonact 5 mg without any risk.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your query and understand the concern.
Considering you high cholesterol and low HDL,you can take Tonact 5 mg (atorvastatin) as directed by your doctor without any risk as the low dose (5 mg) is not known to cause any side effect.
However,it might cause muscle pain sometimes (but not always) which you should keep in mind.
Your HDL is very low and other bad cholsterols are elevated while blood sugar and BP is completely normal.
The main reason for HDL to be low (36 only) could be lack of enough muscular exercise.
So,you should continue with exercises at gym as per your convenience for about 30 to 45 minutes to get maximum response.
In general to reduce your Cholesterol and to increase HDL follow these dietary guidelines along with regular exercises.
- Avoid direct sugars and avoid fried snacks, bakery items,
- Take ample of vegetable salads- at least 1 bowlful cut raw vegetables like cucumber, tomato, carrot and vegetables which you can eat raw.
- Snacks should contain healthy nuts like almonds or walnuts and a few dry fruits but no fruit juices,
- Avoid soft drinks or hard drinks (alcohol) and smoking cessation completely if you do,
.
- Skimmed milk and milk items made up of skimmed milk are good to check on cholesterol,
- Egg white is fine but avoid egg yellow means yolk.
- Take Vitamin B3 (niacin) once daily which increases HDL cholesterol.
Hope this answer will help to understand it clearly.
