What Are The Side Effects Of Tryptomer Tablet?
Question: i am taking tryptomer 10 mg tablet for last 6 days ,i feel drowsiness and nausea and throat pain ,i want to know the medicines uses this is given by neuro dr, for body pain ,please tell the purpose of the medicine

What you are given is a drug called amitriptyline.
Apart from its use in depression,this drug can provide relief in many painful situations,especially when a detailed evaluation fails to point a specific disease or pathological process as the cause of pain,or when the pain is not responding to common first line analgesics.
Unfortunately,this drug has some common side effects like drowsiness,dizziness,nausea,dry mouth etc.But,most of the patients continues the drug without much difficulty.If you find these effects much distressing,you can discuss this with your doctor,so that we can look for alternatives.
