What Are The Side Effects Of Zoloft?
Question: What are the best/least side effects meds to try for anxiety?
Brief Answer:
SSRIs are best with least side effects.
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM
If we consider medicines for a healthy individual with anxiety then SSRIs are considered as best medicines for anxiety disorders. The drugs like Escitalopram, Fluoxetine, Sertraline etc are SSRI drugs and are very safe to use.
Mild side effects like nausea, vomiting, GIT upset etc are seen when the drug is started. In very high doses sometimes sexual side effects like reduced libido, delayed ejaculation, delayed orgasm etc are seen. Otherwise the drugs are safe to use.
So SSRIs like Fluoxetine, Paroxetine, Sertraline etc are best medicines with least sir effects for anxiety.
Thanks.

I have a choice between zoloft or nortriptyline. Which one do you think would be better? I get anxiety and also have vestibular migraines and undiagnosed pins and needles. Its either 10mg nortriptyline or 12.5 Zoloft to start. I am very sentaive to side effects and have read allot of bad things about both from user reviews and chat rooms.
Brief Answer:
Zoloft is definitely safe and better.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
For anxiety, considering side effects profile and efficacy Zoloft is better than Nortriptyline.
You have complaints of vestibular migraine with undiagnosed pin needles sensation then even Nortriptyline can be considered. But then you are very sensitive for side effects so better to start with 12.5 MG Sertraline or Zoloft.
Thanks.
