What Are The Side Effects Of Fertility Drugs?

Question: We need your adivise to know, if my wife is showing symptoms or pre-diabetes or diabetes. Her FBS results are little deceiving but otherwise we look ok. We are confused if fertility drugs caused some side effect. We need to plan for IVF in coming 1-2 weeks and wanted to ensure it will affect our chances on IVF. We don't want to take any medications and see if this can be cured and reversed using some home remedies or otherwise.
Should be do some more tests to confirm if she is the case for diabetic?
Please advise.

I have read your query and understood your concern ..

At this stage, you need not worry about fluctuations in glucose levels .... Since you are preparing for IVF the hormonal changes will definitely be there and they will influence the blood sugar levels .. I advice you not to worry about the sugar levels at this stage and concentrate only on IVF process..

If it becomes successful later at 24th week you can get OGTT test to see if there is GDM or not ..

Now please ask her to concentrate on lifestyle changes like avoiding carbohydrates and taking more of green leafy vegetables and fruits .. Ask her to take folic acid supplements too meet your obstetrician and discuss further.
