What Are The Side Effects Of Long Term Intake Of Nupenta-DSR And Monkezin?
Question: Hi Doctor,
I was visited to pulmonologist some time back for breathing issue and sneezing and indigestion.
He suggested me to take the below mentioned tab:
Nupenta DSR and Monkezin together.
I started taking these two tablets twice a day and all my issues are improved in a better way.
I am worried only is if i stop these two tablets i am seeing same issues again, so is there any harm to my liver or kidney if i use for a long time.
I dont see any side affects since i am doing daily exercises and yoga too.
Please suggest on using these tab for a long time and what health issues or side effects will come.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Yes you can take these medicines without much side effects
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,
Thanks for posting you query on HCM.
You seem to be suffering from allergy resulting in sneezing and breathing difficulty. You possibly also have regurgitation of acid which can aggravate allergy symptoms.
Monkezin is for allergy and dupenta DSR is for acid regurgitation. Both are safe drugs and can be taken for long duration.
If you have relief in your symptoms, you may continue taking these without worrying about many side effects.
Hope this answers your query.
Take care

Hi Doctor XXXXXXX
Thanks for your response.
Is these two tablets gives just relief or also helps to cure the symptoms after using for a while.
Could you please suggest me any other medications instead of this or taking less dosage medications.
Thanks,
XXXX.

Brief Answer:
They will control the symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
These medicines will control your symptoms.
They do not cure the disease.
Once full control is achieved, you may try stopping them gradually and your symptoms then may remain under control for a long period of time.
If symptoms recur as happens generally during change of season or on exposure to dust and smoke, you may have to start the treatment again.
These are very mild medicines and first line of treatment in allergy/asthma and have minimal side effects.
Thanks
