What Are The Side Effects Of Long Term Intake Of Xtraglo?
Question: I am suffering from heavy hairfall these days. Doctor advised Xtraglo tablets and asked me to use 8X shampoo on alternate days. He says the patter is both for dandruff and looks hereditary as well. How long should I take Xtraglo tablets. I have already been taking it for 2 months now. Is there any side affect of the the tablets and the shampoo.

Xtraglow and 8 x are fine but these can only control dandruff.
To enhance hair growth you need additional medication like minoxidil.

Thanks for the response. However, my doctor specifically advised not to take minoxidil as its effects are only valid when I continue to use it. As soon as application is stopped, there is a chance for further hairfall at extreme levels.
Please let me know how long should the xtraglo tablets can be continued safely.

Minoxidil is to applied over scalp like an oil.
Yes when you stop using it, hair fall will happen again however it will be in same way as it was earlier.
It is the safest and most effective medication for hair fall.
I have patients using minoxidil since past 15 year with excellent response and no side effects.
None of the hair fall remedies are permanent.
The effect weans off once you stop the medication.
Same is true with xtraglow.
I still advice you to start with minoxidil and continue it as a regular oil.
