Brief Answer:
there are different possible symptoms
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The bowel comprises of the small intestines, the colon, the rectum.
The colon is comprised of 4 parts: the
ascending colon (this is on the right side), the
transverse colon (this goes across from the ascending), the descending colon and the
sigmoid colon.
The descending and sigmoid colon are both on the left side of the abdomen.
The general symptoms of colonic or rectal cancer would be weight loss, loss of appetite, change in bowel habits , blood in the stool,
abdominal pain, anemia (this would cause fatigue, palpitations,
shortness of breath).
Cancer on the right side of the colon (the ascending colon, parts of the transverse colon) are more likely to bleed and cause diarrhoea.
Cancer on the left side of the colon are more likely to also have symptoms of obstruction of the bowel (constipation, bloating, vomiting).
Because of screening measures, however, most lesions are detected very early before any symptoms occur.
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any additional questions
