What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of Rabies?

Question: Got scratches in back of leg in San Francisco 15 months ago from racoon. We walk upon a family of them and we had dogs. Within 3 hours I was treated in hospital immoglobulin and vaccination for rabies. Last three weeks where I had the scratch my leg is irritating me. My GP told me I do not have rabirs as as I would be dead and I had treatment. I'm gone crazy worrying

Dear Ms,

I agree with your doctor, you can not have Rabies. Rabies manifests after 10 days from the incident and is fatal shortly after. So there is no possibility that you have rabies.

The itching in this area could be due to skin dryness so apply a moisturizer cream along with an anti-allergic cream as Allergy(Diphenhydramine).

Sorry to annoy you but I am so worried. The fact that I'm alive 15 months later would tat mean I am safe. Does rabies attack people earlier. Is the treatment guaranteed. I got mine over the month but not on scheduled dates as set as on internet but I still got them all over one month
