What Are The Sings Of Internal Injury After A Fall?
Question: My toddler took a tumble off our bed. She is 9 mo old. she hyperextended her neck. She cried for a few minutes and didn't really hit her head hard - but she is now very clingy and sleepy. she is breathing fine, and is moving all her extremities. What do I watch for?
Brief Answer:
Fall
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I just read through your question. The fact that she didnt lose consciousness is the beat sign.
The next sign to look for is vomiting within the first 24 hours after the fall. If this happens, she is probably still ok, but should be checked by a doctor. In the absence of vomiting, there is no concern.
Meanwhile, she can do whatever she likes (ie: sleep more, sleep less, eat more, eat less, etc.. ). There is no concern.
