Question: what are the steps for dermarolling ? and do i need serum ? or it's ok to derma roll and use cetaphil moistuser after that ?

The dermarolling is an acupuncture technique for managing difficult skin problems.
There are five steps in the procedure.
1) Cleaning- Clean your skin with a cleanser lotion that suits you.
2) Numbing- This to get rid of the pricking pain during the procedure. You will find a numbing cream in the kit you have purchased for Dermarolling. Apply it uniformly on the target area & leave it there to act for 20 minutes.
Now, your skin will not be hurt during the process.
3) Rolling. - A skin roller provided in the pack is to be used for it.
- When sealing of the pack is intact, the roller is sterilized. So you can use it directly
Subsequent uses need sterilization. It can be done by using denture tablets. Drop a denture tablet in a plastic container filled with water. Put your roller in it & leave it there for 20 minutes. Take it out .Let all the water drain. Now it's ready for reuse.
Never allow other person to use your roller.
While rolling pull the skin lightly with the hand not engaged with the roller (be careful, don’t touch the roller head while pulling.) Now, start moving the roller from one side to another, top to bottom & then diagonally.
4)Treating.- Dermaroll is used to treat specific skin problems so application of the needful serum is usually followed. In skin problem like Acne scars, stretch marks, aging skin, dry skin, and specific serums are used.
If you don't have any specific problem, you can directly go to the next step.
Specific essences should be chosen with your Beautician's consultation.
The serum (essence) is applied to the target skin after you finish rolling & allowed to act for 10 minutes.
5) Moisturizer application. - apply collagen or Hyaluronic acid containing moisturizer generously over the treated skin. It helps by relieving redness & stinging feel of skin.
Follow the Derma roller treatment by moisturizer application twice a day, for a couple of days.
** Please Use the creams that suit you. Test for allergy, in case you are using a new product.
