Doctors are still treating for Lyme, and Obesity, but symptoms for someone who is very aware of their body, are more concerning than this. No referral has been made other than to a STRAND Center here in VT.
you may have PTLDS , require IV antibiotics. evaluate cardiac status
Detailed Answer:
welcome
i understood your concern.
Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi .Certain ticks may carry these bacteria
a blood test for antibodies to the bacteria that cause Lyme disease is identified for the diagnosis. The most common one is the ELISA for Lyme disease test. A Western blot test is done to confirm ELISA results.
the symptoms resemble the flu and include:
• Chills ,Fever ,Headache ,Lethargy ,Muscle pain
Antibiotics commonly used for oral treatment include doxycycline, amoxicillin, or cefuroxime axetil. According to data, most patients recover when treated with a few weeks of antibiotics taken by mouth.
Approximately 10-20% of patients (particularly those who were diagnosed later), following appropriate antibiotic treatment, may have persistent or recurrent symptoms and are considered to have Post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome (PTLDS).
as you have more of cardiac symptoms,Patients with certain neurological or cardiac forms of illness may require intravenous treatment with drugs such as ceftriaxone or penicillin.
SO i think you need IV treatment after consulting your doctor.
Other than these, you have cardiac symptoms and also pedal edema and high BP. so you also require your cardiac status evaluation by ECG and echocardiography as these symptoms may be due to other underlying heart diseae.
CONSULTATION WITH PHYSICIAN WOULD DEFINITELY HELP YOU
hope you are satisfied.
