I need to know for personal reasons...I.e. Whether I should go to the hospital or not. I have been unable to urinate freely/completely since yesterday & have terrible pains in the lower abdomen.

In stones:
if stone is in kidney
1) Dull continuous pain usually in one of both sides of back just below last rib.
2) Pain ghets severe when any thing touches then lumber area.
3) There may be blood seen in urine. Sometimes its small and can only be detected in lab.
4) Burning urination can be there.
5) Vomiting can be there.
6) Aarely fever can be there.
7) Usually the patient has history of low water intake or high water loss during those days.
If stone is in ureters:
1) Pain in lower abdomen.
2) Spasmotic pain it comes and goes in form of waves.
3) Burning micturation can be there.
4) Blood in urine can be there.
UTI:
1) Fever.
2) Vomiting.
3) Lower abdominal continuous pain.
4) Burning mincutation.
5) Pus can be there in urine.
6) Lower back ache can be there.
7) Redness of genitals can be there.
8) Urine is frequenct and thete is always an urge to urinate.
