What Are The Symptoms Of Acid Reflux Disease?
Acid Reflux
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
You seem to be suffering from Acid Reflux Disease. However, we should always rule out Gall Bladder Stones in such cases. So, you should get an Ultrasound Abdomen for the purpose. If your Ultrasound is normal, you would require treatment for Acid reflux.
In acid reflux disease a combination of Omeprazole and Domperidone helps greatly. Your Doctor has given you a combination of Pantoprazole and Levosulpride, that is also very effective.
Brakke is an antibiotic, it is not indicated for the purpose.
You should take soft, bland diet as spicy food aggravates acidity.
In case of acute pain you can take anti flatulent syrup like Digene or Gelusil. In people whom the problem persists even after this treatment and no other cause is found on Ultrasound then Upper GI Endoscopy is indicated to rule out Gastric/Duodenal Ulcers infected with h.pylori.
In case you have any weight loss or anemia, you would require to get tested for Malabsorption syndrome like Celiac Disease.
Share my opinion with your doctor.
I hope it helps.
