Brief Answer:
Get it examined by your GP or a Surgeon.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Warm Welcome to Health Care Magic.
If your husband thinks he has appendicitis you should get a Complete blood count investigation done and an ultrasound of the abdomen.
the symptoms usually are pain in the right side lower abdomen with feeling of malaise or fever and nausea/ vomiting might be there.
The Surgeon who examines confirms the diagnosis by eliciting tenderness over the area which is a more important test than the Ultrasound.
Therefore, I advice that you see a Surgeon at the earliest as Appendicitis at this age is a tricky diagnosis and there should be no delay to diagnose or treat it.
I suggest you fix the earliest appointment with your GP or visit the ER.
Take care and do let me know if I can help you further with this issue.
