What is the treatment suggested and how long it might take for the kid to come out of it.
Brief Answer:
Suggestions on autism
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Autism can be diagnosed by one and a half to two years of age. But it is extremely difficult to diagnose it with surety in less than 2 years of age.
There are three main features of Autism-
1. Verbal and nonverbal communication.
2. Relating to others and to the environment.
3. Flexible behaviour and mingling with others.
Though it is extremely difficult to diagnose this condition in less than 2 years of age, once diagnosed or picked up by a high index of suspicion, it is extremely important to have early stimulation and intervention which will be extremely helpful and goes a long way in the treatment.
Any loss of speech, babbling, gestures, or social skills should be taken very seriously, as regression is a major red flag for autism
I suggest you do not delay and will have the option of early intervention and early stimulation therapy.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
