What Are The Uses And Side Effects Of Flagyl?
Question: I am 78. Around age 21, one of my roommates contracted Trichomonas. She was sexually active, I was not. At that time, older houses did not have showers. We shared a bath tub but used bleach after each use. Even with those precautions, I also contracted Trichomonas. I was treated with Flagyl oral med. Then at age 30, I was pregnant and the OB/GYN prescribed a vaginal suppository because Trichomonas was suspected. At age 74, i had surgery and ERCP for acute gall bladder disease. I think they gave me Flagyl by infusion. Does Flagyl treat all parasites, even pin worms? Is it a broad spectrum antibiotic for all types of parasites?
