What Are The Withdrawal Symptoms Of Lorazepam?

default
Posted on Mon, 6 Mar 2017
Question: I took 2 total (1mg each) lorazepam over the course of 3 days and now my anxiety is worse. The last dose I took was the night before last. Could I be experiencing withdrawal from this drug and if so how long will this last?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

Withdrawal only happens after taking a benzodiazepine like lorazepam for at least several weeks, and then stopping it. It sounds like withdrawal is not possible here. I wouldn't worry about that.

Do you have any recommendations for decreasing my feelings of anxiety. My heart won't stop racing and I am unable to concentrate on anything. I almost hoped it was withdrawal from the drug, at least than I would have hope these feelings would go away...
