Question: I took 100mg/night of seroquel for insomnia for one year. My dr says its time to go off of it and that I will experience no withdrawal? How long for it to be out of my system?

Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello, and thanks for your question.

Seroquel 100mg is a low enough dose that withdrawal is highly unlikely. Some possible symptoms of discontinuing this medication include high blood pressure, anxiety, and insomnia. Again, all of these are highly unlikely. It will take approximately 72 hours for Seroquel to leave your system after you take the last dose. At that time, it will be out of your body completely.
