Question: Hi , I am on birth control pills after my D&C in October .. My question is that can I stop taking pills for one or two months and again start taking it . Actually for two months we will not be sexually active as my husband is going out of station . So I was thinking that for that two months why should I take the pills . what will be the effects on my body to go off and on of the pills . Can I do this again and again .
Brief Answer:
Yes, you can stop
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You can very well stop taking the pills of two months if you do not need it for contraception.
There will be no adverse effects or any disturbance in the menstrual cycle.
You can start taking it again whenever you desire.
There is no problem in stopping the pills, but you should stop only once the pack is finished, and not in between.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
