Question: I was having nasua and vomiting issues taking Metformin, 1000mg. I researched taking the Metformin vaginally. It seemed safe to avoid the negative side effects. After 3 times of vaginally inserting the Metformin I have begun major burning when peeing, bright red blood & inflamitation.

Brief Answer:
Prescription antibiotics are needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Vaginal insertion of metformin might have caused infection and inflammation of vagina. Urinary infection is also likely.
You need proper oral antibiotics after a urine and vaginal swab test. Do consult your gynecologist for proper prescription.
Hope this answer is helpful.
