Brief Answer:
Costochondritis?

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Costochondral joint pain could be due to many causes like costochondritis, infection of lung/lung covering, muscle strain, arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, or other inflammatory joint diseases). You may start by consulting an orthopedic surgeon. He may examine you and do some tests (like X-ray chest etc.) or refer to another specialist as needed.

Meanwhile you may do the following to ease the pain:
- Pain killers like Tab Ibuprofen 200 mg twice a day or as needed
- Keeping the area warm may help. Can use an extra layer of clothing on the chest
- Avoid any factors that may trigger the pain e.g. deep breathing or touching certain point may exacerbate it
- Posture may change in order to ease the pain, but keep it as correct as possible (within your limits
- Can try Sri-Sri-Tattva's arthofix juice

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vaishalee
