What Can Be Done About Pus Cells In Urine At 33 Weeks Pregnancy?

Question: Hi my wife is 33weeks pregnant. Today she had urine Cue test and results pus cell showing plenty. Attached report. Is there any problem. We are waiting for culture report

Your wife has UTI which is not uncommon in last trimester of pregnancy/.

Hello,

Based on the fact that you have posted presence of plenty of pus cells detected on microscopic examination of urine of your wife who is in her 33 weeks of pregnancy has UTI .

It is not uncommon to get UTI in last trimester of pregnancy due t incomplete emptying of bladder secondary to pressure of gravid uterus on the bladder .

Start her with appropriate antibiotic as per culture report once you get the same .

Please do write once you get the report .I would suggest the appropriate antibiotic that she would require considering her pregnancy .
