Question: Hello Doctor, I visited you 12 days back mainly regarding overeating and forced vomiting issue. Had also discussed concentration issues. I was given prodep20 and jioveg for 15 days.
I am travelling and won't be able to visit for follow up for another 3 weeks.
I am trying self motivation and following good diet already for last 15 days now and haven't visited psychologist for counselling as advised. Till now haven't had much urge for overeating and sweets but won't be able to comment on medicinal help for another month or two.
This time I also wish to address my concern regarding lack of interest in activities and lack of feeling of any kind of emotion.
Please advise further till the time I can come and visit.

Brief Answer:
Continue existing treatment

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

It is good that your urge for overeating and sweets is reducing. It will be better if you continue treatment. If you finished your medicine, you can coordinate with me.

Regarding your concern of (lack of interest in activities and lack of feeling of any kind of emotion), it will improve with time. Current treatment will slowly work on that too. Same time it will be better to meet psychologist also to address these issues.

Apart from the above advice, following simple measures will help you:
- Healthy diet: Milk and fruits in diet.
- Daily morning walk, Jogging, Breathing exercise and yoga (which you can learn from some expert in person)
- Reduce 2-3 kgs weight every month.

I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Let me know if I can assist you further. I wish you good health.

Thank you for your reply. I would like to know for how long the treatment generally lasts and if I will have to continue with 20 mg or will you be increasing the strength.

Brief Answer:
Treatment required for few months

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Usually, treatment is required for a few months. That decision is based on the response and residual symptoms in follow up visits.

Doses or addition of new medicines may be required with current medicines in the future, depending on condition.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care.
