Question: I need some help in getting a 2nd opinion on a Otorhinolaryngology breathing issue, that has now left my disabled. After several surgeries, Ive been told that I need several more to finally get this tract tube out of my throat! To make a long story short, I was in a really bad car accident a 3 years ago, where I was put into a coma and intubated. During that intubation my vocal cords were scratched, damaged etc... Now the scar tissue is keeping me from breathing with out assistance. I hate it.. Cant do anything really.. But before I head into another painful surgery, Id like to get a 2nd opinion as to whether or not its even worth it. I understand there are no guarantees, that I will get the tube out, but if I have yet another airway cut, I will certainly be losing even more of my voice! In addition to, breathing a lot heavier and being tired more often and quickly. Im only 40's . And IM already walking around out of breathe at times... Now they are telling me its going to be worse! Im at my wits end here.. do you think you could help me??

Brief Answer:
Avoid second surgery and echocardiography test

Detailed Answer:
Hi

I have gone through your reports

I would advise you not to go for second surgery trying to remove the tracheostomy tube as it may cause you to loose your voice permanently
As you are getting tired easily you also need to do echocardiography test
If you have more queries I will be glad to help

Actually Dr Monish, Im looking for a Dr to act an a professional witness for me for a Mal Practice lawsuit im trying to put together against the ER dr who originally intubated me. As they are the ones who scratched my vocal cords so badly that have now left me disabled for life. This would require you filling out an affidavit for the courts. Id gladly pay you for this, myself. Is that something you'd be able to do? Are you a licensed physician here in the United States? If so, where??? Please advise..Thank you XXXXXXX Gonzalez

No, I'm a Licensed physician in XXXXXXX

Hi,

I am a licensed physician in XXXXXXX

You need to consult the local physician of your country for affidavit form as it requires a physical examination of the patient too.
