Question: Hi,
My 44 year old brother lives in China and has been diagnosed Lung cancer stage 4. It's not small-cell type.
TP53, EGFR Mutation, right now is taking Gefitinib 250 mg made in XXXXXXX . It has metastasized to bones, brain and other parts. The medicine sold in China is extremely high and even patients take them, it can only help about 2 years. Is there any doctor who'd like to help him? Thank you in advance!

Brief Answer:
Erlotinib is less costly and should be used when disease progresses
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Your brother is suffering from non small cell lung cancer stage 4.
Since it is EGFR mutation positive Gefitinib 250 mg is a right choice of meditation for treatment
Though it is costly in china treatment with this drug will prolong his life for 2 years.
When the disease progresses with gefitinib he can take another drug called erlotinib which will prolong his life for 1 more year and is less costly

Brief Answer:
Radiotherapy is needed
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since your brothers lung cancer has spread to bones and brain radiotherapy is also needed to reduce the symptoms of bone pain, nausea and vomiting which may occur due to spread of the lung cancer to bones, brain and other parts.
Radiotherapy also halts further spread of lung cancer
