What Can Be The Harmful Effects Of Single Use Of Cocaine After Kidney Transplant?
Question: I received a kidney transplant approximately 6 months ago. My numbers have been excellent . Unfortunately, I had a slip and used approximately 2 grams of cocaine the other night. I am now obsessing that I damaged this new kidney or am causing rejection and want to know what you think. I am now abstaining and continuing my program to be clean and sober. My creatinine was 1.98 post use. Usually it ranges between 1.6 and 1.95. I hope that I have not harmed the new kidney by using this one time.

What cociane can do is cause reduced blood supply to the kidneys which inturn leads to a ischemic injury. This injury is transient and it recovers most of the time. But if you continue to use it then eventually the damage will be irreversible
Please avoid using recreational drugs in the future
