What Can Cause A Flare Up Of Fasciculations ?
Question: In follow-up, (1) what can cause a flare up of fasciculations? Dehydration? I take creatine but do not consume anywhere near the appropriate amount of water. I also drink caffeine regularly, but caffeine alone has not (to my knowledge) caused this effect in me.
(2) In the case of fasciculations associated with motor neuron diseases, might I expect to see other symptoms as well? I have no weakness. Tbe fasciculations are in fact the only symptom.

Brief Answer:
Dehydration and electrolytes imbalance may be a reason for fasciculations.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I have read your new question.
Dehydration and subsequent electrolytes imbalance may be a reason for fasciculation flare-ups.
You had these fasciculations for years without any weakness, so, motor neuron disease is very unlikely in your case.
So, it is worth trying a healthy diet and staying well hydrated with the hope of fasciculations regression.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
