What Can Cause Convulsive Seizures To Get Worse Over Time?
Question: What can cause convulsive seizures to get worse over time? I have gone 5 years with no seizures and the ones I had only lasted a couple minutes . I have had two in the last month that were 20 minutes and stopped breathing. I recently had an eeg that caused me to have a violent seizure. It was the first time an eeg caused me to have one. Is it likely that something like Baclofen could have caused it.
Brief Answer:
Baclofen is not known to cause seizures
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
Baclofen is not known to cause seizures.
Probably lifestyle changes such alcohol, smoking, stress can cause it.
Also stopping maintaining medications you are taking every day can cause seizures to return.
Also if you have any physical trauma or emotional trauma can also cause them to return.
Hope I have answered the question.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
OK it is a good news that you don't have seizures anymore and you also don't have the risk factors that can cause it.
So if you don't have the risk factors I mentioned Baclofen is the only change that happened and that's why doctor discontinued it.
