What Can Cause Red Area Right Under The Head Of My Penis And On The Head ?

Question: I have a red area right under the head of my penis and on the head of it also it happened after using my flashlight the two areas keep coming back. I have been using hydrocortisone and antifungal cream. Not sure if a friction rub or fungal

Hello ,

I believe that most probably it can be caused by a fungal infection.
You can wash it well with a gentle soap, rinse well and dry it well.
You can apply the antifungal cream on it.
Also use wide and cotton underwear .

Follow up: Dr. Olgeta Xhufka (1 hour later)

After appling hydrocortisone and antifungal cream some of redness is slightly better. Now it has a shinny appearance and looks to like the top skin is drying almost like it will peel. No open sore or discharge anything like that. I assume it is fungal then and it is drying up so to speak?
